Anna Weatherley
Anna Weatherley established a studio in Budapest, Hungary where she trained a group of highly talented master painters to create her collection of hand painted dinnerware and accessories. For many years she has focused on complex and beautiful vibrant colors; unique shapes of porcelain;
Her designs are inspired by early botanical illustrators and flower painters of the 18th century Europe (Redoute, Hooker and Ehret) as well as Dutch still-life paintings. Each piece is finished with a rich hand painted gold trim.
This method of painting is a “dying art form,” and the product of long hours of work on each object. The fine shading, the small brush strokes, the intricate details are a result of very time-consuming process. No mass-produced decal design can be compared with these hand painted designs.
